HEALTH AND SAFETY

                                                                                       HEALTH AND SAFETY

The Group has an obligation to abide by the Health and Safety Policy of the premises in which meetings, exhibitions and demonstrations are held.

Responsibilities of the Committee –
The Committee will maintain an Accident Report File which will be reviewed by the Committee annually and take any action which is deemed to be necessary as a result of that review.
A basic First Aid kit will be maintained by the Committee and will be kept in the Kitchen during each meeting or such other suitable place accessible by all members for use by the members.

Responsibilities of Members –
Anyone who has a health and safety concern should raise it with a Committee Member.
All members are responsible for their own health and safety whilst attending the Group meetings, exhibitions and demonstrations and should not undertake any act which could affect their health and safety.
All members should endeavor to maintain a safe environment for all.
Members should inform Committee Members, in confidence, of any medical condition they have which may impinge upon a meeting, exhibition or demonstration.
Members with medical conditions are expected to carry with them any necessary medication and know how it is to be used.
Accidents and injuries incurred during Group meetings should be reported to the Secretary by completion of an Accident Report Form which will be held on file by the Secretary.
Any member wishing to use any stock from the First Aid kit will do so at his/her own risk with no liability falling upon the Committee.
Members are encouraged to have an ICE (In Case of Emergency) contact in their mobile phones.
